Bavaria Needs You – 2

On 3 November 2025, our second ESF+ funded project, ‘Bavaria Needs You – 2’, starts. It benefits 10 highly educated, employable women with a refugee background who live in the Munich district, have secure residence status, are currently receiving citizen’sbenefit and are available for work.

In terms of content, the ‘Bavaria Needs You – 2’ project by Charter 22 improves access to employment and vocational training for women with refugee experience by adapting the specialist knowledge and skills they acquired abroad to the requirements of Bavarian employers. In this way, we increase their chances on the labour market and actively promote their socio-economic integration and equal participation into the social life. 

The EU’s European Social Fund (ESF+) invests in people, especially those who do not have the same opportunities for self-fulfilment in life and on the labour market because they are in a socially disadvantaged position, as is the case with refugees, compared to the professional and social opportunities available to the native population. 

The aim of the ESF+ is to contribute to a more social Europe and to put the European Pillar of Social Rights into practice. Charter 22 serves gladly as an ambassador of the European community built on the values of freedom, equality, and non-discrimination.

The European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) in Bavaria helps people find work, reduces poverty, improves their skills and increases their chances on the labour market. In this way, people are supported in their professional and social integration and in entering working life.

With our full-time vocational programme ‘Bavaria Needs You-2’, we want to actively support the inclusion of unemployed women with refugee experience to overcome successfully their numerous social challenges and to compensate existing German job-related linguistic deficits in a targeted manner through education, coaching, empowerment, mentoring and socio-educational support, enabling them to have bright career prospects in Bavaria so that they can finding a social just and sustainable working place as a ‘payroll accountant’ in the Greater Munich area as quickly as possible and thus secure their livelihood permanently through their own efforts.

The Bavaria Needs You-2 project run by Charter 22 also includes social educational support with elements designed to assist the participating women with a refugee background, such as supplementary, low-threshold, work-related language training and personal coaching, in order to take their gender-specific needs into account to a particular degree. In this way, we want to actively support their integration into the Bavarian primary labour market and contribute to genuine equal opportunities for them in both social and professional areas.
