At the age of two, a child realizes that it has its own aspirations and naturally tries to achieve them to the best of its ability. Two years is both a very short and a significant period of time for a company. It is a short time when you consider the entire lifespan of the company, but long enough to serve others remarkably, celebrate initial successes and experience overcoming numerous challenges. Thank God, we left behind us the most difficult start-up phase associated in our case not only with accepted numerous sleepless nights, missing vacation days, regular overtime and financial insecurity, but unfortunately also with unexpected bitter experiences of injustice, lawlessness, discrimination, nepotism, misogyny, and xenophobia. We took it with all the disappointments, but also with all the lessons learned and, most importantly, with all the enriching, unforgettable, warm-hearted encounters with wonderful fellow human beings from different countries, languages, religions, and cultures, who gave us strength, courage, inspiration, determination, and confidence. “What does not kill me makes me stronger,” Friedrich Nietzsche also said. Serenity is a state of inner calm and steadfastness, especially in difficult situations. It means keeping your composure and not letting hostile and unjust circumstances unsettle you. “It took me a long time to develop a voice, and now that I have it, I will not be silent,” said Madeleine Albright (born Marie Jana Korbelova). “It is always wise to tell the truth, under all circumstances, because if a truth is not given complete freedom, freedom is not complete. Truth and love will overcome lies and hatred”, as the great European, democrat and humanist Václav Havel taught us. “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” (John 1:5)
