Charter 22 consciously focuses on digital sovereignty and genuine data protection. In today’s “post-factual” digital world, we place great value on being able to think, act, move, and develop independently and self-determinedly. Global political and economic events in recent years have shown us the consequences that can arise when sovereignty is lacking and dependencies develop. Those who are digitally sovereign secure competitive advantages for themselves, promote innovation, and reduce their dependence on specific states, providers, and resources. For us, it is crucial to retain sovereignty over our own digital assets such as thoughts, ideas, projects, data, infrastructure, and know-how.
