Prof. Dr. Chikako Mori from Seijo University Tokyo visited our EUTB

The fact that our regional Supplementary Independent Participation Counselling (EUTB®) receives a request from abroad is really a rarity. However, a month ago, one from distant Japan surprised us, but we found it very exciting. And of course, we agreed.

The time had come and Prof. Dr. Chikako Mori from Seijo University Tokyo visited our EUTB counseling center. She has been currently researching personal assistance of disabled people in Germany and we were glad to inform her about its regulation, aims and proceedings. Prof. Mori was also very interested in the valuable counceling activities of the regional EUTB of Charter 22 in Munich. During our long horizon-broadening and interesting exchange for both sides, we realised that the benefit systems for people with disabilities in Germany and Japan differ relatively strongly from each other, especially regarding the organizational structure.

According to Prof. Mori, she was able to take a lot away from our conversation and her visit was also extremely enriching and varied for us.

Thank you very much for your visit, Prof. Mori!
